It’s an odd feeling to not have been in winery for nearly two months. Once we broke out of the city and the road started opening up to hills and valleys, I felt right at home.
Took a little road trip to see the 12 Apostles, and as we’ve affirmed throughout this adventure, it’s all about the journey not the destination. The Great Ocean Road was one of the most beautiful drives… full of beaches, cafes, surf breaks, rainforests, koala bear sightings, farm lands, windy national parks, sleepy towns, and World Heritage listed viewpoints.
The Northern Australia coast line treated us so well. From the Great Barrier Reef, to Cape Tribulation, the Daintree Rainforest, Barron Falls and Fitzroy Island…. there was so much natural beauty to soak in.
Anne hooked it up this week. We’re staying at a lux condo on Hervey Bay, it’s literally straight out of a magazine. On the “DL” it’s an A-list Aussie’s beach pad…. I know, is this real life?
